Each academic session at Ezekiel College of Theology, Ujoelen-Ekpoma, presents a fresh opportunity not only for theological inquiry and spiritual growth but also for active field engagement. The College Mission, a flagship activity rooted in the very DNA of our institution, returns in 2025 with a fresh fire, anchored in the unshakable theme: “Victory in Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57). This year’s mission is hosted by the Diocese of Owo with the Diocese of Idanoni serving as the Co-Host, and it promises to be a landmark spiritual event for all stakeholders.
From Saturday, May 24 to Monday, June 2, 2025, Ezekiel College of Theology will roll into these dioceses with renewed energy, powered by a unified vision — to proclaim the unchanging gospel of Christ, bring souls to the knowledge of the truth, and equip the saints for victorious living in a troubled world.
The College Mission is not a ceremonial tradition. It is the heartbeat of Ezekiel College’s commitment to practical evangelism, community engagement, and spiritual revival. Our students are trained not only in sound doctrine but are also deployed to be frontliners in God’s vineyard. Each mission is a testing ground, a sacred classroom without walls, where theology meets reality, and sermons are preached with both words and deeds.
In 2025, the focus is crystal clear — to awaken hope in a generation marred by despair, to bring healing to the brokenhearted, and to remind the Church and the world that victory is not a myth but a reality in Christ Jesus.

What better message could resonate in today’s turbulent world than the assurance of victory — not in riches, politics, or mere optimism, but in Jesus Christ? In a society wrestling with spiritual compromise, economic instability, and moral decline, the gospel of Christ remains the only firm foundation.
This year’s theme is a prophetic declaration, a trumpet call to the Church and the world alike: victory is not a future reward; it is a present reality for those who are in Christ. Through crusades, revivals, outreaches, and pastoral visitations, this truth will be boldly proclaimed across Owo and Idanoni Dioceses.
The Diocese of Owo, under the leadership of The Rt. Revd. Stephen Ayodeji Fagbemi, PhD (Kent), is no stranger to revival. His theological depth and pastoral heart make the diocese fertile ground for the message of victory.
Equally prepared is the Co-Host Diocese of Idoani, ably shepherded by The Rt. Revd. Adegoke Oludare Agara, whose love for the Word and passion for missions continue to inspire clergy and laity alike. Both dioceses have opened their doors not only in hospitality but also in anticipation of a divine encounter.
The synergy between these dioceses and the College ensures that the mission will be robust, coordinated, and impactful — a divine collaboration for kingdom advancement.
Under the able guidance of the Director of Missions, Rev’d Canon T.E.M. Odebotor, and the visionary leadership of our Rector, Ven. Prof. Ayodele Adeyinka Atowoju, the mission teams will be strategically deployed across rural parishes, urban churches, and communities.
Key Mission Components Include:
• Village Outreaches & Crusades: Bringing the raw power of the gospel to underserved communities.
• Youth and Teenage Empowerment: Equipping the next generation with godly values and vocational guidance.
• Prayer Storms & Night Vigils: Saturating the land with intercessory warfare and prophetic declarations.
• Social Evangelism: Visits to homes for the elderly to extend love and care.
As we go into this mission, we anticipate:
• Salvations in the hundreds, with many souls returning to the cross.
• Spiritual awakenings in local parishes that will continue even after our departure.
• Healing and deliverance as testimonies of divine encounters flood every location.
• Strengthened clergy morale, with local priests empowered to carry on the harvest.
• Renewed commitment from our students, having tasted firsthand the fields white for harvest.
We earnestly call on all and sundry to uphold this mission in prayer. Spiritual warfare is real, and we need divine backing. Pray for the safety of all missioners, for open heavens, and for supernatural results.
We also welcome financial and material support — from gospel tracts, Bibles, sound equipment, and medical supplies to transportation logistics and feeding. Your seed in this mission is a seed into eternity.
