Ezekiel College of Theology experienced a remarkable milestone on February 28th as its esteemed donor, Sir, Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel A. Ainabe, JP, GSTE, the Ojomo of Ekpoma Land, visited the institution. This visit was particularly significant as it marked his first time at the college since the appointment of the new Rector.

Accompanying him was the distinguished Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Anthony Okpere. Their visit was filled with encouragement, appreciation, and significant gestures of support for the continued growth of the institution.

During his address, Sir Ezekiel Ainabe commended the impressive progress the college had achieved under the leadership of the new Rector. Despite being in office for just two months, the Rector’s dedication and commitment to excellence were evident in the remarkable improvements across the institution.

Emphasizing his continued support for holistic development, Sir Ezekiel Ainabe made a generous donation of a piece of land to the college for the establishment of a football pitch. This initiative aims to enhance recreational and sporting activities, contributing to the overall well-being of the priests and staff.

During the visit, both Sir Ezekiel Ainabe and AVM Anthony Okpere took the opportunity to celebrate the Rector, wishing him a happy birthday in advance. They acknowledged his impactful leadership within a short period and expressed confidence in his ability to drive the institution to greater heights.

While touring the college premises, they were highly impressed by the rapid infrastructural improvements. They also visited the newly established school farm, which now includes over 2,000 stands of yam, a cassava farm, an ongoing poultry farm, and a snail farm. These agricultural initiatives highlight the college’s commitment to sustainability and self-sufficiency.

The visit reinforced the strong partnership between the college and its benefactors.
