A new era has begun at Ezekiel College of Theology as Venerable Professor Ayodele A. Atowoju officially resumed as Rector on January 1, 2025. His appointment on December 7, 2024, was met with great excitement, and now, with his arrival, the college is set for a wave of transformation—spiritually, academically, and even economically!
A professor of New Testament and Intercultural Studies, Ven Prof. Atowoju is not just a biblical scholar but also a firm believer in self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship. As an advocate for productive ministry, he is expected to instill a mindset of innovation and resourcefulness among students and faculty. “We’re training priests, not just for the pulpit, but for real-life impact,” he was quoted as saying.
One thing is certain—his leadership won’t be business as usual. From the classroom to practical ministry, the college will experience a strategic shift towards holistic theological education. Some students are already wondering if entrepreneurship courses will now be a compulsory part of the curriculum. “Should we start preparing business plans alongside our sermon notes?” one student humorously asked.
With his dynamic vision and passion for excellence, Ven Prof. Atowoju’s tenure promises to equip students not just to preach but to thrive in all spheres of life. His appointment signals a new direction for Ezekiel College—one where spirituality meets strategy, and faith meets financial wisdom.
Brace yourselves, Ezekiel College of Theology. A new beginning is here!
